Growth!
As a result of participating in the USDA AgDiscovery program at Virginia State University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, I learned about various agricultural and related science careers in the federal government. The experience included living on a college campus for two weeks, learning from college professors and food science career experts. This experience positioned me to become a co-founder of the “BEING You!” community service program. BEING You teaches meal planning, meal preparation, and kitchen organization to reduce food waste, and promote healthy eating practices for low-income families.
My hobbies are cooking, reading, running, and learning languages. I am studying Spanish, and Chinese languages in support of my desire to work internationally and live amongst diverse communities. I am intentional about how I spend my time and having a positive outlook on life. Thank you for the housing solutions.
